Rachel Elizabeth Perry of Saluda, South Carolina and Michael Wallace Stoner of Aiken, South Carolina were married at 5 p.m. on August 5, 2017, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Saluda, South Carolina. Reverend C. Nels Ledwell officiated the ceremony. The reception followed at the Sundance Gallery in Greenwood, South Carolina.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pitts Perry of Saluda. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Perry Jr., Mr. David Mote and the late Mrs. Marty Mote and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Crouch Jr., all of Saluda.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Joseph Stoner of Aiken. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Stoner of Charlottesville, VA.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Miss Rebekah Perry, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Briana Smith, Mrs. Kaitlin Courtnay, Mrs. Anna Marie Rogers, Miss Anderson Wiksell, Miss Haley Sudduth, Mrs. Grace Kirkland, and Miss Taylor Williams. Miss Maddie Hendrix, cousin of the bride, and Miss Lilly Smith, cousin of the groom, served as flower girls.
Mr. Benjamin Stoner, brother of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. David Stoner, brother of the groom, Mr. Matthew Perry, brother of the bride, Mr. Brian Peterson, Mr. Matthew Miller, Mr. Michael Bates, Mr. Peter Kenneson and Mr. Robert Gunter.
The bride earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from Clemson University and received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is currently employed as a physician assistant in Anderson, South Carolina.
The groom earned his Bachelor of Science and Master’s in Civil Engineering from Clemson University. He currently attends Clemson University and is pursuing his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering.
The couple honeymooned in Colorado and now reside in Clemson, South Carolina.
