The 106th hunting season for the Aiken Hounds began Thanksgiving morning in Hitchcock Woods. Linda Knox McLean, joint master of foxhounds with the Aiken Hounds, welcomed the large crowd gathered at the Memorial Gate area of Hitchcock Woods. Father Grant Wiseman and Deacon Jane Hostetter, both of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church in Aiken, performed the Blessing of the Hounds service on a beautiful, clear day.
