Lakeside scored 22 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to stun South Aiken.

The T-Breds (0-2) held an 18-13 lead after three quarters, an advantage they gained when quarterback Jesse Sanders ran over a Lakeside defender for a touchdown.

South Aiken got the scoring started defensively, recovering a Lakeside fumble and returning it 76 yards for the opening score.

Lakeside (2-0) answered with 13 straight points to take the lead, but South Aiken had another long scoring play – Nequel Ryans raced in from 74 yards out to pull the T-Breds within one.

South Aiken trailed by a point at the half, but took the lead in the third and was 12 minutes away from getting into the win column.

It went downhill from there, with South Aiken committing some costly turnovers in the fourth quarter. Lakeside took the lead for good with 8:17 remaining and added some insurance after that, handing South Aiken its second consecutive home loss.

The T-Breds will look to get their first win of the season next week when they host Strom Thurmond.
