Region 4-4A is up for grabs, but a few teams have some high expectations heading into the 2019 season. Others are building around new leaders.

The area's Class 2A teams feature some unknowns and one team with great expectations. The latter is something the area's lone Class 3A team is also familiar with. 

The first S.C. Prep Football Media Poll of the season is out, and eight area teams are either ranked or are receiving votes in their respective classifications.
