The 2006 Aiken Trained Horse of the Year is looking to replicate the success he demonstrated on the racetrack in the breeding shed. Bob and John is preparing for his second year at stud at Josephine Abercrombie's Pin Oak Stud in Versailles, Ky. His stud fee for the 2009 breeding season is $12,500. "He's doing good; he bred 126 mares last year," said Clifford Barry, manager of Pin Oak Stud. Barry indicated that Bob and John has been booked to a strong number of mares for the 2009 breeding season. "We're just looking forward to see his first crop of foals and see what happens," he said. The Grade 1 winner raced in the silks of Robert and Janice McNair's Stonerside Stable and was conditioned by Bob Baffert. Bob and John was broken and trained in Aiken by Tim Jones. The 6-year-old son of Seeking the Gold made $996,330. Bob and John is out of the Deputy Minister broodmare Minister's Melody, a graded stakes winner who was trained in Aiken.
