Letters to the Editor

I have read with interest the letters to the editor in defense of Donald Trump. I can’t help but wonder if these same people are parents who raised their children by values learned in Sunday school, Boy and Girl Scouts and in golf’s First Tee programs.

Their message seems to be that once you’re old enough to vote, you can just throw all that out the window and vote for someone who lies and cheats as long as your self-interests are being met. The president reflects to the world who you are.

I used to be proud that I voted Republican for 40 years but now feel shame to ever do so in the future.

Is our election system so broken or corrupt that Trump can’t be primaried? Another term would result in an absolute power corrupts absolutely scenario.

Think about it.
