Mrs. June Seawright Spradley, 74, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at Heartland Hospice, Augusta. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Millbrook Baptist Church chapel. The Rev. Dr. Eddie Leopard will officiate. Interment will take place at 11 a.m. in Southland Memorial Gardens, West Columbia. Mrs. Spradley was born in Johnston, a daughter of the late Charles Dewey and Lotheia Kobb Seawright. She was a teacher for more than 30 years with the Lexington County District 2 schools, a member of the Cereus Gardening Club, a lifetime member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and the Lexington County Teachers Organization. She moved to Aiken from Cayce in 2000 and was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church. She is survived by several cousins. Her son, Stephen Derrick, her first husband, Fred Derrick, and her second husband, Larry Hampton Spradley Sr., preceded her in death.
