GRANITEVILLE -- Entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, Ms. Helen Lowe Grover, 80, of Graniteville, wife of the late Walter Grover Sr. and daughter of the late Ward Lowe and the late Annie Mitchum Lowe. She is survived by a daughter, Annie (Leonard) Gunter of Graniteville; sons, Walter (Shirley) Grover Jr. of Warrenville, Paul (Judy) Grover of New Ellenton and Roy (Annette) Grover of Graniteville; a brother, Olin Lowe of Aiken, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was a member of Breezy Hill Baptist Church. She was a good mother and grandmother, who loved her family very much; and next to her family, she loved to fish. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends; but there is a consolation in knowing that life for her has not ended but has only begun in a better land known only to Him. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at 3 p.m. at the Graniteville Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Grover and Rev. Billy Barfield officiating. The pallbearers will be Chris Grover, Gary Strickland, Kris Seigler, Richard Grover, Richard Eubanks, Daniel Gunter, Ronnie Padgett, Lee Conley and Junior Hancock. The family will receive friends Monday night, Jan. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, is in charge of the arrangements.
