WILLISTON -- Funeral services for Glenda Bell Rutland Martin, 69, of Williston, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at Elko Baptist Church with burial at Barnwell Memorial Park Cemetery by the airport. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Folk Funeral Home, Williston. Memorial contributions may be sent to Elko Baptist Church, WMU, P.O. Box 277, Elko, S.C. 29826. Having fought a brave battle with cancer, Glenda died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2009. Born in Barnwell County, she was a daughter of Nadine Richardson Bell and the late Colie Bell. She retired from Milliken Corp. as a lab analyst and retired from Ness Motley Loadholt Richardson and Poole Law Firm as an administrative assistant. She was a member of Elko Baptist Church where she was a member and former teacher of the Clara Hitt Sunday school class and was a member and past president of the WMU. Survivors include her mother, Nadine Richardson Bell of Williston; husband, Marion Martin of the home; daughter, Gloria Rutland (Ryan) Guest of Barnwell; son, Harold Quincy "Hal" Rutland Jr. of Barnwell; stepdaughter, Karen Martin (Andy) Turner of Aiken; stepson, Bruce Alan Martin and fiancé Dana Jones of Aiken; sisters, June Bell Jamison of Suffolk, Va., Sandra Bell Campbell of Desoto, Texas; brother, Gary (Barbara) Bell of Williston; grandchildren, Reagan, Preston, Chandler Guest, Rob and Shawn Webster, Melody, Drew, Ali Turner, Alyssa and Carley Martin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
