Three men are in police custody on allegations they held up a convenience store on Whiskey Road early Tuesday making off briefly with an undisclosed amount of money before they were nabbed in a nearby neighborhood, police said. Kimmie L. Moore, 24, of Aldrich Street in Aiken is charged with armed robbery. Otto L. Pearson, 22, of Kellog Drive in Aiken is charged with armed robbery and unlawful carrying of a pistol. Raymond Shaw, 19, of Winter Haven, Fla. is charged with armed robbery The store employee said two of the men entered the store about 5:30 a.m.. One man reportedly placed a gun in the employees face and ordered her to open the cash register drawer, according to police. After she opened the register, she said she hid in the corner and both men took off, the police report states. Witnesses told police they saw there men running from the store towards the H. Odell Weeks Center about that same time. The Aiken Bloodhound Tracking Team was called and a search commenced in the area, police said. Within minutes, officers spotted two men at Collier and Henry street and found evidence linking them to the crime scene, police said. Pearson and Shaw were taken into police custody at that time. One of the men was reportedly armed with a pistol and the other in possession of currency consistent with the amount stolen form the Kangaroo Express at 1850 Whiskey Road, police said.
