N.A. woman faces 21 counts of prostitution

Aiken County Sheriff’s Office deputies have charged a North Augusta woman in connection with a prostitution ring investigation, according to police records.

Kristin Perry, 26, of Maple Drive, is charged with 21 counts of prostitution, according to Aiken County arrest records.

Perry was arrested Wednesday and transported to the Aiken County detention center.

Deputies arrived at Perry’s home Feb. 22 after the agency received information Perry might be running a prostitution ring inside of her home, according to an Aiken County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

The report said the incidents occurred between January 2015 and Feb. 21, 2016.

Perry told officers she had heard rumors that she was running a prostitution ring, but stated she was not involved in any illegal activity, the report said.

Investigators searched Perry’s home but found nothing, the report said.

Police continued to investigate and discovered in January 2016 she started placing multiple ads on a website for procuring or soliciting prostitution under the “escorts” tab, according to an arrest warrant.

Investigators found these ads had been created under the suspect’s IP address, the warrant states.
