Plans are in place for Millbrook Baptist Church to be the host site Oct. 18 for recording artists Passion and the Rev. Travis Greene, pastor of Forward City Church, in Columbia; as well as the Rev. Louie Giglio, pastor of Passion City Church, in Atlanta.
The gathering, Passion Worship Night, is to start at 7 p.m. Giglio, the featured speaker, is largely known for his outreach to people of traditional college age, and has written such books as "The Air I Breathe, "Goliath Must Fall," "The Comeback" and "Indescribable: 100 Devotions about God and Science."
Passion dates back to 1995 and is currently composed of Kristian Stanfill, Melodie Malone and Brett Younker, and some of the most prominent creations from over the years have been "10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)" "God of This City," "One Thing Remains" and "How Great is Our God."
Greene is largely known as a gospel musician. Among his better-known songs are "You Waited," "Intentional" and "Made a Way."
Ticket prices range from $20 (for college students) to $40 (deluxe, including early entry for best seats and a chance to speak with the artists before the show).
