The Aiken County Sheriff's Office has released the names of 10 men wanted for firearms crimes, including murder, kidnapping and armed robbery. All of these subjects should be considered armed and dangerous, said sheriff's office spokesperson Sgt. Dave Myers. The sheriff's office continues to have success arresting the suspects posted on the weekly Most Wanted list. The project started this summer about the same time the sheriff's office published the 14,000 active warrants on file at the sheriff's office. Deputies reply on tipsters to help them locate some suspects they have been searching for over a long period of time. Some of these case have been on file for many years, but and we currently obtain approximately 200 new warrants monthly, Myers said. Many suspects have surrendered and still others have been identified by neighbors co-workers and family members. Anyone with information about these individuals is asked to contact the Aiken County Sheriff's Office at (800) 922-9709. Individuals also should call CrimeStoppers of the Midlands at (888) 599-TIPS.
