The Aiken County Sheriff's Office is seeking information and assistance in identifying suspects they believe have been stealing metal in Salley.
The Sheriff's Office has been investigating a theft of metal from private property near the intersection Berlin Church Road and Remont Road, and believe the suspects took metal from the area between April 15 and June 28.

A man used a stun gun on a stranger after an assault on Monday at an Edgefield Highway convenience store, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Department.
The victim told police at around 8:30 p.m., he stopped and bought a drink at the store and began to walk back to his vehicle when he was approached from behind by a subject who kept saying “hey,” to him. He then stated that as he was getting into his vehicle, he noticed the man was still approaching him and had a knife in his hand, police said.
The victim said the subject stepped between him and his vehicle door, at which time the victim grabbed a stun gun from his vehicle and stunned the suspect in the chest with it five to six times, police said. The subject fell to the ground, and then allegedly grabbed the victim's leg and pulled him to the ground as well. The victim told police he kicked he man, and then was able to get up, get in his vehicle and drive away.
A person dressed in black allegedly knocked on the back door of a home on Weyerhauser Road Monday evening, and when a resident went to the door, he fled, according to an Aiken County Sheriff’s Office report.
Police said the resident, a juvenile, and another resident of the home both heard the knock at around 6 p.m. When the juvenile walked to the back door, the report stated that the subject, dressed in all black and wearing black gloves and a black ski mask covering his face, spotted her and ran from the scene. Police responded but did not find the suspect.
