A Clearwater man was arrested in Arkansas on March 19 and later charged in relation to a murder that occurred in Augusta, according to a release from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

Austin Slade O'Shields, 21, was arrested in Batesville, Arkansas. He was charged with murder and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime, and booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center in Augusta on Wednesday, March 27.

The same release includes information about the murder of Kenneth Porter, 19, on March 12 in Augusta on River Ridge Drive.

The release says when officers arrived, Porter was on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. He died at Augusta University Medical Center, the release says. Two others were arrested for the crime, according to the release. Antoine Stokes, 16, was charged with murder and Saxxon Vance, 20, was charged with murder, criminal attempt armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
