Two women were detained for shoplifting after trying to conceal items in their purses at Target on Whiskey Road on Monday. The 20-year-old woman reportedly stuffed about $435 in clothing into her purse, and the 21-year-old woman put about $66 in merchandise into her purse.

A 41-year-old Clearwater man was detained for shoplifting after he tried to walk out of the Walmart on Richland Avenue with four pairs of leggings, a board game and a toilet seat.

An 82-year-old Aiken man reported on Friday that someone took an air conditioner condenser unit from his home.

Aiken Public Safety responded to a burglary at a home on Chloe Road on Monday. The owner reported a television missing.

A burglary was reported on Shelby Drive on Monday. The owner reported electronics and guitars missing.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Whiskey Road on Friday. The owner reported that someone broke into one of his business’ delivery trucks, damaged the vehicle and took a fuel card.

A 25-year-old man was detained for shoplifting after he entered the Walmart on Whiskey Road on Monday, picked up two items and tried to return them without a receipt. When the store wouldn’t take the items, the man pulled a plastic Walmart bag from his pocket, put the items in the bag and exited the store. He was later detained during a traffic stop.

Vehicle break-ins were reported on York Street and Florence Street.

A business owner on Pine Log Road reported on Friday that someone spray-painted graffiti on the side of his business.

An Aiken woman reported on Tuesday that she received a counterfeit $10 bill as change from a business on York Street.

Investigators said an unknown man gained possession of a Warrenville man’s ID and used it to receive an unknown amount of cash at a scrap metal facility in Augusta.

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office responded to burglaries on Russell Street in Beech Island, Three Notch Road in Aiken and Briar Patch Lane in Warrenville.

Vehicle break-ins were reported on Thunder Road in Batesburg and Vaucluse Road in Aiken.
