Pass It On Kidsignment Sale continues today

The annual Pass It On Kidsignment Sale, a local event that has helped hundreds of families purchase toys, clothes and other supplies for 22 years in Aiken, has been canceled for the foreseeable future.

According to a press release sent out by Pass it On Sale leadership, the organization was told by First Baptist that due to "building capacity, safety concerns and other considerations," the sale could no longer be held at the church.

"Ministry to children and families is vital to the church, however," reads a statement from the church. "Future ministry and outreach endeavors will be well publicized and all will be welcomed."

Despite Pass It On leadership being "deeply saddened" by how the cancellation may affect families who shop at the sale, they also expressed gratitude toward First Baptist Church for holding the sale over the past several years.

The Kidsignment organizers looked into holding the sale at other locations but have not been able to find an alternate location for the sale.

"It has become evident due to these factors that we will not be having any future Pass It On Kidsignment sales unless God opens a door at another location," reads the Pass It On press release.
