The Aiken County Sheriff's Office charged an Aiken man Thursday in connection to a shooting incident earlier this month on Nicholson Drive.

Emanuel Tony, 46, of the 100 block of Kellogg Drive, is charged with attempted murder; first-degree burglary; discharging firearms inside a dwelling; pointing and presenting a firearm at a person; possession of a firearm during a violent crime; and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent felony, according to jail records.

Deputies responded to Nicholson Drive around 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 18 and met with three victims who claimed the suspect came into the house through the backdoor with a gun, according to the report.

The victims said the suspect came into the house, started calling one of the victims names, pulled his gun out and started firing it in the house, the report states.

The suspect went into the street and fired his weapon a few more times before he fled the area, according to the report.

No one was injured, police reported.

Investigators reported finding the suspect's vehicle on the corner of Nicholson Drive and Main Drive, but he could not be located.

Tony was arrested Thursday and taken to the Aiken County detention center, where he was still being held Friday morning.
