Tammy Simeko Davis of Hampton, South Carolina and Anthony Sederick Leonard Ruth of Estill, South Carolina were married Thursday, April 21, 2018 in Augusta, Georgia.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Montriel Davis. Elder Calvin Banks officiated.
The bride wore a strapless, corseted, sweetheart organza mermaid gown. It featured precise pleats, a rhinestone appliqué to accentuate the waist and layered ruffles that flared out to the hem of a sweeping train.
The Maid and Matron of Honor wore floor-length, versatile gowns in the color plum. Bridesmaids wore floor-length, versatile gowns in alternate colors of iris and wisteria.
The bride is a daughter of Linda Davis of Hampton, S.C., and the late Allen Davis. She is a maternal granddaughter of Carrie Mae Folk of Hampton, S.C., and the late Willie Williams, and a paternal granddaughter of the late Nathaniel Davis and the late Johnnie Lee Davis, both of Hampton.
The groom is a son of Betty Jones of Estill, S.C., and the late Melvin Jones. He is a maternal grandson of the late Vernon and Florine Ruth of Estill, S.C., and a paternal grandson of the late Walter and Pearl Jones of Estill, S.C.
Following a reception with 300 guests at the Foundry at Rae's Creek in Augusta, Ga., the couple took a honeymoon cruise to the Grand Cayman Islands, Belize, Honduras and Mexico.
They will reside in West Augusta.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Wade Hampton High School. She is a 2004 graduate of the University of South Carolina Aiken with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a 2009 graduate of Pace University in New York, N.Y., with a Master of Public Aministration. She is employed as the Community Investment Director at the United Way of Aiken County Inc. in Aiken, S.C.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Estill High School. He is the owner and operator of KGF Trucking in Augusta, Ga.
