The American Heart Association has a healthy recipe for frozen yogurt pops, which can be made with fresh peaches from a local roadside stand in Aiken County.

With fresh peaches everywhere, summer is the perfect time to work fresh local peaches into deserts. Here is a healthy summertime recipe for frozen peach pops from the American Heart Association.

Frozen yogurt pops with peaches


• 16 oz. of sliced peaches

• 1 cup fat-free plain yogurt

• 1 tbsp. honey


Add 1 1/2 cups of peaches, yogurt, and honey to the bowl of a food processor. Process for one minute into mixture is pureed. 

Chop remaining peaches into bite-sized peaches and add to puree mixture. 

Pour mixture into popsicle molds, pouring until mold is almost full. Place in the freezer overnight.

Tip: run warm water over the back of the popsicle molds to make the popsicles easier to remove.
