John and Tammy Travis of Aiken announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Danielle Traivs of Aiken , to James Corbett Gore of Aiken, a son of Howard and Margo Gore. The wedding is planned for Oct. 20, 2018 at Sleepy Hollow Farm.
The bride-elect is a maternal granddaughter of Skip Townsend and the late Sue Townsend of Aiken, SC and a paternal granddaughter of Jim and Sandra Travis of North Augusta.
She is a 2012 graduate of South Aiken High School. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Elementary Education. She is employed by Superion, a software company in Lake Mary, Florida.
The bridegroom-elect is a maternal grandson of Hubert and Bertha McDowell of Aiken and a paternal grandson of James and Rosie Mae Gore of Lanark, West Virginia.
He is a 2010 graduate of South Aiken High School. He is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a degree in biology. He is employed by Paul Knox Middle School.
