Hampton Avenue had an abundance of colorful, festive, slow-moving afternoon traffic Feb. 17, with Aiken’s 20th annual Black History parade rolling from the area of American Legion Post 212’s headquarters to Perry Memorial Park, where post-parade activities included award presentations and a cookout, as well as a performance by three Georgia-based high school bands: Hephzibah, Richmond Academy and Josey.
