TalkBack for Feb. 19
SRS stigma
The employees of SRS were believed to be non-productive and wasteful. Now, we have the added stigma of being believed to be homosexual, thanks to the GLOBE initiative. We were told to shut up when we spoke out against it. I am ashamed and embarrassed by this.
Bad restrooms
Aiken High needs to do something about the restrooms. I had to sign my child out and take him to Burger King to use the restroom because they are so nasty.
Sick days
I frequent a lot of the local restaurants and notice that the management makes the wait staff work when they are sick. These people should be allowed to take sick days without penalty.
Job loss
TalkBack covers dogs and hospitals but never anything that makes a difference. They should spend more time talking about the companies moving to Latin America and Mexico.
Lower ratio
I agree that we don't need to add more students to the classroom. Teachers have all they can handle with the discipline problems the kids have today. I disagree with doing away with the district offices.
