TalkBack for Feb. 12: Save your energy, Traffic lights, Don't feel safe, Driving techniques
Save your energy
Attention: If you write something for the TalkBack section to complain about the dumb things some people do, save your energy, because the guilty parties are most likely too dumb to read or understand that the complaint is about them.
Traffic light planning
Whoever plans out the traffic lights in Aiken needs to go. Seriously, there needs to be a left-turn signal at Powderhouse and Whiskey, and the rest of the lights on Whiskey are poorly timed. Get with it, people!
Don't feel safe
This is to the idiot that replied to the person who said they don't feel safe in Aiken. I don't feel safe here either. The person that replied and said that they feel safe going into the city and two policemen gave their lives so we could feel safe. Think about that statement. Did the officers really have to die if Aiken was a safer place to live? Or do you just go out at certain times of the day and hope that nobody assaults or robs you blind?
Driving techniques
I have been all over the city of Aiken over the last three days. I don't understand the driving techniques around here. People stop at green lights, they wait until the last possible minute to change lanes and, to top it all off, they don't use a turn signal. Please remember this - talking on the phone or eating a cheeseburger while you drive requires multitasking. If you are too stupid to pay attention to the road, then stay at home and let the rest of us get to where we are going safely.
