Sherry Anderson


Funeral services for Ms. Sherry Anderson, 54, of Welsh Lane, Augusta, Ga., who entered into rest Jan. 28, 2009, were conducted Friday afternoon at the Posey Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Benny Burton officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Park.


Ms. Anderson was a lifelong resident of North Augusta, having made Augusta her home for the past two years. She was of the Baptist faith.


Survivors include one son, Sammy Braswell, Warrenville; three daughters, Stephanie Bates of Ridge Spring, Sonya Brannen of Aiken and Stacy Johnson of Bath; a brother, Andrew Geer, Augusta; two sisters, Sandy Gonsalves and Kim Vaughan, both of North Augusta; seven grandchildren.


The family received friends at the funeral home Friday prior to the service.

Chief Johnny M. Hamilton


Funeral services for Chief Johnny M. Hamilton, 55, of DeSoto Drive, New Ellenton, who entered into rest Jan. 28, 2009, were conducted Monday afternoon at the Millbrook Baptist Church, Aiken, with the Rev. Frank R. Hyder officiating. Interment will be private. Law enforcement honors were rendered.


Chief Hamilton was a native of North Augusta, having made New Ellenton his home for the past 24 years. He was the current Chief of Police for the New Ellenton Police Department. Chief Hamilton was a member of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Association, the South Carolina Police Chief Association and the Police Benevolent Association and was a former member of the South Carolina National Guard. He was a supporter of the Angel Wing Equine Ministry and was of the Baptist faith. Chief Hamilton was preceded in death by his daughter, April Jean Hamilton, and his brother, Roy Hamilton.


Survivors include two brothers, Randy Hamilton, North Augusta, and Conrad Hamilton, Langley; a sister, Mildred Verkey, North Augusta; a granddaughter, Emily Lauber, Blythe; a niece, Michelle Dunn; a nephew, Jimmy Hutto; special friends, Vonda Colyer Garrison, Charlie and Denise Watson, Justin Atkinson, Dena Greene and Maria Kennedy.


Honorary pallbearers wre members of the New Ellenton Police Department and area law enforcement agencies.


The family received friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon. Friends may also call at the residence of Charlie and Denise Watson, 242 DeSoto, Dr, New Ellenton.

Christopher E. Perry


Memorial services for Mr. Christopher E. Perry, 43, of Sweetwater Road, North Augusta, who entered into rest Jan. 28, 2009, were to be conducted Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock in Grace Fellowship Church with Pastor Phillip Hamilton officiating. Interment will be private.


Mr. Perry was a lifelong resident of North Augusta. He was a contractor and the son of the late Gorman Perry.


Survivors include two daughters, Kristen Elizabeth Perry and Lindsey Jade Perry, both of North Augusta; his mother, Mattie Perry, North Augusta; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Debra Perry, North Augusta; three sisters and brothers-in-laws, Sharon and Kevin McMillan, Debbie and Tim Robinson, all of North Augusta, and Lori and Benjamin Butler, Aiken.


The family was to receive friends at the church following the memorial service.


The family was to be at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Mattie Perry, 315 Sweetwater Road, North Augusta.

Patricia H. Mabe


Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia H. Mabe, 51, of Sable Lane, Trenton, who entered into rest Jan. 31, 2009, were conducted Tuesday morning at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Huffman and Dr. Paul W. Noe officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.


Mrs. Mabe was a native of Kankakee, Ill., and a former resident of Beech Island, having made Trenton her home for the past 13 years. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.


Survivors include her husband of 14 years, Ronnie Mabe; a son, Earl Dewitt Mabe, Beech Island; a daughter, Valerie Leeann Mabe, Beech Island; her mother, Madelyn Lamar, Kankakee, Ill.; a brother, Samuel Hooker, Texas; a sister, Diana Coryell, Manteno, Ill.


Pallbearers were Curtis Mabe, William Mabe, Jeff Mabe, Earl Mabe and Samuel Hooker.


The family received friends at the funeral home Monday evening.

Trey Glover


Funeral services for Earl B. "Trey" Glover III, 27, of North Augusta, who entered into rest Jan. 31, 2009, were to be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Posey Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Larry Ford officiating. Interment was to be in Plum Branch Cemetery.


Trey was a life-long resident of North Augusta. He attended Plum Branch First Baptist Church and was employed by Connell's Amusement Co., Inc.


Survivors include his father and his wife, Bo and Connie Glover, North Augusta; his mother, Sherron Glover, Trenton; a brother, Kyle Glover, North Augusta; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Ashley and Keith Fulmer, Corrie Glover, Ryan and Carl Davis and Stephanie Wehr, all of North Augusta; stepgrandparents, Bill and Brenda Adams, North Augusta; two nieces, Taylor Fulmer and Whitney Fulmer; four nephews, Tucker Fulmer, Jaylen Davis, Keylen Davis and Sterlin Glover; a great nephew, Aiden Rearden; a special aunt and uncle, Sandra and Larry Riley, and their daughter, Latisha; several other aunts and uncles; his loving dog, Fantasy.


Pallbearers were to be Steve Johnson, Pete Pack, Matt Kubacheck, Josh Futrell, Jeremy Daniel and Craig Chavous.


The family received friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening. The family was to be at the residence of his sister, Ashley Fulmer, 1263 Lake Greenwoood Drive, North Augusta.
