NADPS seeking three area men on kidnapping charge
North Augusta Public Safety officers are asking for the public's help locating two men and identifying a third suspect connected to a home invasion earlier this month.
Investigators are looking for Jodeci Jaquanis Johnson, 18, and John Antwoin Ways, 20, both believed to be in from the New Ellenton area.
Each man is wanted for armed robbery and six counts of kidnapping, said Lt. Tim Thornton, spokesman for North Augusta Public Safety.
"There are numerous other outstanding warrants for the suspects that stem from this case," the police lieutenant added.
He said the charges stem from a February 6 incident in which the suspects are accused of kidnapped and robbing six individuals at a North Augusta apartment.
There is one suspect still unidentified in this case, Thornton added.
The victims told police they were at an apartment on East Martintown Road early the morning of Feb. 6, when three men dressed in black reportedly knocked on the door and entered the residence, armed with handguns.
According to the incident report, the victims had talked with the suspects earlier in the day about smoking marijuana, and marijuana was found outside the residence.
Anyone with information is asked to contact North Augusta Public Safety at (803) 279-2121.
