Gov. Haley will speak in Aiken Wednesday
S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley will appear in Aiken on Wednesday as part of her "The Movement" town hall tour.
The meeting will take place at the Municipal Building at 215 The Alley at 6:30 p.m.
She will discuss legislative report cards for the previous session and will describe her agenda for the 2012 session.
On Monday, Haley, a Republican, released her promised "report card" grades for all state legislators. All five Republican House members representing Aiken County got A's - Bill Taylor, Tom Young, Roland Smith, Bill Hixon and Kit Spires. So did Republican senators Greg Ryberg and Shane Massey.
Democratic Rep. Bill Clyburn received a grade of "C" from Haley. She gave a "D" to Democratic Sen. Nikki Setzler of Lexington, who, because of reapportionment, would represent a larger portion of Aiken County, if re-elected in 2012.
The town hall meeting is free and open to the public. Haley will take questions from those present, her office stated.
