Vogels celebrate 50 years together
Mary Kampstra and Del Vogel were married at Frieden's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Randolph, Wisconsin on August 5, 196l. After the ceremony, a reception was held for 150 friends and family, followed by a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls.
Del and Mary celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their two children, Randy and Sherri, with a golf vacation at the American Club Resort in Kohler, Wisconsin. Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run were on their golf agenda. Randy and grandchildren, Austin and Abby Vogel, will join the couple in an extended vacation and celebration later this fall at Sherri's home in Mesa, AZ.
Del was born in South Dakota and moved to Randolph, WI, when he was 8 years old. Del retired from Household International with 29 years of service. Mary, originally from Randolph, worked for Madison, WI, Chamber of Commerce, L.M. Berry (Yellow Pages) Milwaukee, WI, GE Company of Decatur, IL, and retired with 18 years of service with Southland Corporation (7-Eleven) Marketing Dept., Chicago, IL/Novi, MI.
Del and Mary's business careers had them living in Milwaukee, WI; Ottawa, IL; Decatur, IL; Madison, WI; Boston, MA; Wheaton, IL; and Farmington Hills, MI, before retiring to Woodside Plantation Country Club in Aiken, SC, in 1991. Both are avid golfers and enjoy travel.
