Fuquas married 50 years
Jim and Malissa Fuqua celebrated 50 years of marriage on Friday, July 15, 2011. The couple celebrated the occasion with family and friends at a reception at Houndslake Country Club given in their honor by their four children, Kevin (Linda), Jamie Davies (CD), Keisha Uhle (Mike) and Kenny (Lori).
Jim and Malissa were married in Old Hickory, Tennessee on July 15, 1961. The couple transferred with DuPont to Aiken in 1976 where Jim began working for Savannah River Plant and Malissa stayed home to raise their four children. Jim retired from WSRC in 1995 and the couple now spends their time visiting their 10 grandchildren, Meghan Fuqua, Lindsay Fuqua, Matthew Fuqua, Danielle Davies, Drew Davies, Ryan Uhle, Natalie Uhle, Jared Uhle, Cole Fuqua and Shea Fuqua, attending Clemson games and taking care of the newest addition to their family, their dog, Bella.
The Fuqua children are proud of their parents' many accomplishments through the years and are grateful for the example they have set for them during their 50 loving years together.
