On March 19, Hammond Hill students had the chance to show our true writing colors.
Before the test day, we wanted to get a good night's sleep the night before, and eat a healthy breakfast the morning of the test. Our bodies and brains need fuel and rest to work properly. Also, to ease test worries, we talked to our moms and dads to get our feelings out.
On test day, if we remember what our teachers have taught us, we should be prepared. Here's a way to summarize that learning in steps.
First, do a little brainstorming to build up a good supply of ideas. You can add these ideas to your pre-write and they will be your supportive details. Next, write your rough draft. Also, proofread your rough draft, making sure you indented and capitalized as needed. Then, write your final draft. Do not forget to check your final draft.
Finally ask yourself, does this writing sound like me? Is it my voice? Does it meet the standards? I bet it does. If there is a hard question, use the process of elimination. Read the directions carefully so you do not get confused. So, let's get out our pencils and do our best.
Let's pass the PASS!
