The North Augusta High School Hall of Fame has 10 new members: Hampton Williams, Cameron Wilkes, Bailie Sparks, Zack Rogers, Hannah Reese, Daniel Pippen, Arielle Houston, Eric Clubb, Alison Cercy and Joey Baldwin.Principal Todd Bornscheuer, following their introductions, said, "These folks up here have joined a fraternity - a fraternity that, to my knowledge, started in 1971, which means it's been going on for about 42 years now, which means there are about 420 folks that you just joined with this honor."He added, "We heard things like 'North Augusta doesn't have the best facilities in the state,' 'We don't have the nicest auditorium, gym or locker rooms,' but North Augusta's exactly what we make of it. If we all believe, then we all achieve, and these folks up here are an example of that."The annual honorees are nominated by the senior class, with each student able to make up to five nominations. Those with the most nominations and no discipline problems are asked to fill out an application for the faculty to consider, and each faculty member can make up to 10 nominations. The top 10 vote-getters are announced at a school-wide assembly. In keeping with tradition, the honorees' families were notified in advance and attended the assembly, but the actual winners did not know of their status until their names were announced. Also nominated this year were Ramsey Whitley, Kelly Tinsley, Thomas Sheppard, Ashton Norris, Trey Morgan, Johnathan Mills, Jessica Hoang, Taylor Griffin, Jordan Gamble, Steven Copeland, Alicia Cook, Parker Collins and Eric Collins.
