Cooking with Madjon: Black-eyed peas




TOTAL TIME: 1 hour

PREP TIME: 10 minutes

COOK TIME: 45 minutes to an hour

YIELD: 6

INGREDIENTS

Family-sized bag of frozen black-eyed peas

1 onion, chopped

1/2 pd. of bacon, chopped

1 tsp. onion powder

Water, according to package directions

Salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

1. Place black-eyed peas in water on the stove and heat on medium.

2. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir.

3. Cook peas until tender. Stir occasionally; add more water if needed.
