Blotter for Feb. 15
- A bench was reportedly stolen from Aiken Parks and Recreation at Boyd Pond Road over the weekend. The bench measures about 4 feet long.
- A Jeffcoat Road resident in Wagener reported that electronics were stolen from the residence. There were no signs of forced entry.
- A break-in was reported on Cornish Street on Monday. Electronics were reported as stolen.
- A Trenton woman reported on Monday that her wallet was stolen from her purse while she was at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
- A traffic stop on Richland Avenue ended with the arrest of an Aiken man on drug charges. According to police, a motorist was charged with drug possession and jailed.
-- A Trenton man reportedly stuffed 23 sticks of deodorant and two bottles of moisturizer in his shirt and pants. Police said the man also tied undershirts around his ankles to keep the merchandise from falling out of the pants legs. The suspect admitted that he was caught. He was arrested and jailed.
- Aiken Public Safety was notified that more than a dozen accounts were opened unlawfully in an Aiken woman's name. The victim learned about the accounts after running a credit check.
- Aiken Public Safety is investigating an alleged peeping tom at a Twilight Lane residence. The complainant told police that her granddaughters had a similar experience earlier this month, but she didn't call police. This time she said she found an obscene note wedged in a patio door.
- Police are investigating an alleged case of fraud that surfaced after more than $1,400 was charged to the victim's credit card at a Walmart on Richland Avenue.
