Busy spring polo season on tap in Aiken
The Aiken Polo Club and 302 Polo/New Bridge Polo and Country Club have announced their schedules for the spring season.
Three 14-goal tournaments are on the spring schedule at 302 Polo/New Bridge Polo and Country Club, and two of those fittingly pay homage to names associated with polo in Aiken. The polo cooperative starts their season off by hosting two pro-ams to be held the weekends of April 13-15 and April 20-22. The 14-goal USPA Hall of Fame Challenge is on slate for April 25-May 6, and will be followed by the 14-goal USPA Pete Bostwick Memorial scheduled for May 6 through May 20, and finally the USPA Tommy Hitchcock Memorial to be played May 20-June 3.
Aiken Polo Club will host six tournaments, and their season will start and end with members tournaments on April 15 and June 10.
There will be two 6 chukker tournaments that will be part of the spring schedule at the Aiken Polo Club, with one of those being the Aiken Cup Smoak Family 8-goal scheduled for April 27-May 13, and that tournament will be followed by the USPA Congressional 8-goal to be played May 11-May 27.
The club's 4 chukker season begins with the USPA Sportsmanship Cup 6 goal tournament, and will run April 18 through April 29; the USPA Constitution Cup 4-goal will follow, and will be played May 4-20, a second 4-goal tournament will be played May 18-June 3 and the 4 chukker season will conclude with the USPA Women's Challenge Cup 2-goal, May 29-June 3.
