Police Blotter for Feb. 11

An Aiken bank notified police that a customer had taken several thousands of dollars from her account to send to a family member who was reportedly in jail in Mexico. When police got involved and talked with the person calling to say he was in jail, he quickly ended the phone call. The case is under investigation.
Aiken Public Safety is investigating an alleged purse snatching that was reported at Walmart on Richland Avenue on Thursday. The victim said the purse contained medication and an ID card.
