AREA BOYS
Midland Valley HS 54,
Brookland-Cayce HS 27
Midland Valley (12-11, 5-5 Region 5-AAA) evened its region record with the victory over Brookland-Cayce. Alex Allen led the way for the Mustangs with 14 points, and Daniel Carr added 11.
Midland Valley will host Lower Richland on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Lexington HS 71,
Aiken HS 45
Aiken (14-8, 4-4 Region 5-AAAA) struggled offensively on the road, and Lexington (18-5, 8-0) stayed unbeaten in region play. Darius Cheatham was the only Hornet in double figures with 10 points.
Aiken hosts North Augusta Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Silver Bluff HS 103,
Pelion HS 58
Silver Bluff (12-9, 8-1 Region 5-AA) exploded past Pelion behind a 30-point night from Dante Wright. Gyasi Yeldell added 13 points for the Bulldogs, and Blake Robbins was good for 10 more.
Silver Bluff will host Barnwell Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Blackville-Hilda HS 54,
RS-M HS 53
Mike Jones scored 17 points for Ridge Spring-Monetta (12-9, 7-6 Region 4-A), but the Trojans fell to Blackville-Hilda. Justin Millhouse added 12 points in the loss.
RS-M will travel to play Calhoun County on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Wagener-Salley HS 89,
North HS 72
Four players scored in double figures for Wagener-Salley (16-5, 11-3 Region 4-A), and the War Eagles picked up the region win. Malcolm Stroman led the War Eagles with 20 points, Andre Lilly added 19 points, Rakeem Hicks added 17 points and RJ Tyler scored 15 points. The War Eagles will travel to play Denmark-Olar Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
AREA GIRLS
Lexington HS 50,
Aiken HS 32
Erin Gilmore and Kinsley Hall each scored 11 points for Aiken (6-15, 2-6 Region 5-AAAA), but it wasn't enough to avoid the road loss.
The Hornets next host North Augusta on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Wagener-Salley HS 52,
North HS 36
Wagener-Salley (4-17, 3-11 Region 4-A) secured the victory behind a 24-point effort by Shayla Jenkins. My'Ondrea Handy wasn't far behind with 19 points for the War Eagles, who will hit the road to play Denmark-Olar on Tuesday.
RS-M HS 38,
Blackville-Hilda HS 32
Ridge Spring-Monetta (15-6, 10-4 Region 4-A) collected the close region win with Ty'Miyah Tyler scoring 11 points. Shay Freeman and Kendra Cyrus scored six points each. The Trojans hit the road to play Calhoun County on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Pelion HS 23
Silver Bluff (12-9, 8-1 Region 5-AA) continued its impressive region play with the win over Pelion. Khadajah Simpkins led the Bulldogs with 18 points, Roxanna Cheek had 13 points and Jasmine Judge chipped in 10 points.
Silver Bluff will host Barnwell Tuesday at 6 p.m.
