SRNS names director of strategic development
Savannah River Nuclear Solutions named Wendolyn Holland as the director of strategic development and technical partnerships for the Savannah River National Laboratory.
Holland, who previously spent three years as a senior adviser for commercialization in the Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, will oversee the development of partnerships with public and private sector entities and academic institutions.
"The partnerships that we forge with other institutions are important for maximizing SRNL's ability to apply its expertise to address the nation's crucial needs and to support regional economic development,"said SRNL Director Dr. Terry Michalske in an SRNL press release.
In her previous position with DOE, Holland was responsible for identifying and implementing opportunities to accelerate the commercialization of efficiency and renewable energy technologies from DOE's national laboratories into the marketplace.
Prior to working with DOE, Holland worked for several private sector firms in the areas of sustainable water exploration, telecommunications, security and crisis management.
Holland has a Bachelor of Arts. from Yale University and an Master of Business Administration. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
"We are fortunate to have enlisted someone of Ms. Holland's background to guide those engagements," Michalske said.
