Talkback: 3 e's, Rogers, Mad dogs, SRS, work, opossum, moving home

Spelled with 3 e's

We had spell check on how The Willcox is supposed to be spelled. I'll give you another one: Berkeley Street. There are three "e's" in Berkeley. B-E-R-K-E-L-E-Y. I happen to live on that street. I am very tired of people sending me mail that always deletes the second "e." I wish people would please pay attention.

God bless Rogers

God bless you, and we're going to miss you. Thank you for saving my life. Cpl. Rogers, I'm going to miss you, girl. I think the best place for the man who killed you is where he's at now, in jail.

Mad dogs

We used to do away with mad dogs. What's wrong with doing it now?

SRS workers

I am sick and tired of the people who say SRS employees do nothing. That is an untrue statement, and I wish they would change their attitude about that. Without SRS, this area would be a ghost town.

Hard work

I am a person that has been out at SRS for 20 years, and I work very hard. Unless you've worked out there and seen the jobs out there, you need to quit whining yourself.

Staff if on land

As a point of clarification, flags are flown at half staff on land. They're flown at half mast on ships at sea.

Dead opossum

I live on the Southside, and for three-weeks there has been a dead opossum in the middle of the road right in front of my house. This is a health hazard, and I don't understand why the city of Aiken hasn't removed it.

Moving home

It's strange to me that whenever people want something they go back to their parents. Why don't you want to be around them? You're the one who starts treating your parents differently, not the other way around. You stay away; you don't call unless you need something. Your parents won't always be here; think about that.

Thanks

I wish to sincerely thank Joel at Four Tees computers for all the time he spent educating me after the demise of my computer.
