Jones to stay in jail after bond hearing in shooting death of Officer Sandy Rogers
A judge denied bond for Joshua Tremaine Jones on a murder charge this morning and he will remain in custody.
Jones is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in the shooting death of Aiken Public Safety Master Cpl. Sandy Rogers on Saturday morning. His next hearing will be March 9.
A memorial service is scheduled for Rogers on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the USC Aiken Convocation Center. The Aiken Standard will be covering the service live on ASTV95 and web streaming live on aikenstandard.com.
