EDITORIAL: We're not done yet
Saturday's GOP Primary was exciting to the end. Who would have predicted two weeks earlier that Newt Gingrich would trounce Mitt Romney so soundly?
It was exciting to have the candidates come to town. If you wanted to meet any of them you had the opportunity. And for two weeks the national political spotlight was on the Palmetto State.
We spoke with our votes, and now the race for the nomination has moved on to Florida.
It's important for all voters to stay involved with election process. Because you may have picked a candidate in the primary doesn't mean your job is done. One winner will emerge as the Republican nominee. That person will face President Obama in the November election.
This race has been contentious, and is likely to get even more contentious. There's even talk of the Republicans drafting another candidate to be their nominee. That would throw a dynamic into the race we haven't seen before.
All this makes it even more important to continue learning about all the candidates. Listen to what they say and make your judgments. Read about the issues - all sides of the issue. Those other viewpoints will give you more information to make the best decision you can in November.
