Butcher - Cormany wedding
Melissa Leigh Cormany of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Michael Alan Butcher of Mt. Pleasant, SC were married October 15, 2011, at Patriots Point Links on Charleston Harbor, Mt. Pleasant, SC. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The Rev. Dr. Theodore Bush officiated.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neal B. Cormany of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She is a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Davis of Aiken, SC and the late Honorable Frank H. Cormany of Charleston, SC and the late Ethel B. Cormany of Aiken, SC.
The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Butcher of Michigan City, IN. and the late Maria Boka of Sarasota, FL. He is a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Sandor Genersich of Sarasota, FL. and the late Louis Butcher Sr. and the late Magda Butcher of Michigan City, IN.
Caroline Bradley and Amanda Thompson were the maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Meredith Davis, Lindsay Nungesser, Lisa Lewerke and Katherine Brown.
Craig Brown and Rob Butcher were the best men. Groomsmen were Danny Hightower, Peter Genersich and John Butcher.
Following a reception at The Pavilion at Patriots Point, the couple left for a wedding trip to Argentina.
They will reside in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
The bride is currently a Ph.D. student at Nova Southeastern, M.S. Health and Exercise Science from The Citadel, B.S. in Public Health Science from Clemson University. She is employed by Charleston Southern University as an Adjunct Faculty member.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. He is employed by Boeing, Charleston, SC.
