Audrey M. Carter of Augusta and Shawn A. Bates of North Augusta were married November 26, 2011, in North Augusta at Carpentersville Baptist Church. The bride was given in marriage by Everett Carter. The Rev. Joseph L. Thomas Jr. officiated.
The bride is a daughter of Everett and Loree Carter of Augusta. The bridegroom is a son of Artis and Cora Bates of North Augusta.
