Fox Creek students learn about life in the military
Fox Creek High School recently hosted the U.S. Army Program Executive Office Soldier Semi. The Semi is a mobile interactive exhibit.
Throughout the day, students were able to enter into the display and learn more about the history, technology and career opportunities provided by the U.S. Army. Students received hands-on experiences with many different forms of warfare technology including night-vision sensors and lasers, body armor, laser shot, and simulating the new XM-25 weaponry.
The program was coordinated through SSgt. Wade and SSgt. Cooley of the US Army Recruiting Station in North Augusta.
Ian Bramhall, guidance counselor at Fox Creek, said "This was a great experience for our students and our school. It allowed them to explore a small bit of what our brave soldiers experience on a day-to-day basis. It also allowed them to investigate career opportunities offered by the U.S. Army. We are honored that they came to Fox Creek High School and look forward to our next opportunity to work with the Army."
