City announces sanitation collection schedule




Officials at the City of North Augusta are reminding residents of the sanitation collection schedule with regard to holidays.

On Good Friday, April 6, the City offices will be closed, but there will be no changes in residential sanitation collections.

On Memorial Day, which is Monday, May 28, the City will again close for the holiday.

As a result residential pickups will be delayed a day - the Monday route will be picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday route picked up on Wednesday, Wednesday route picked up on Thursday and Thursday route picked up on Thursday as usual.

Independence Day this year is Wednesday, July 4, and is a City holiday, there fore residential collections will be delayed on Wednesday only.

The Wednesday route will be picked up Thursday, and there will be no change for Thursday collections.

Monday, Sept. 3, is Labor Day, and residential sanitation collections will be delayed by a day again - except for Thursday. Both the Wednesday and Thursday routes will run on that Thursday.

Thanksgiving holidays are Nov. 22 and 23. Thursday's route will be picked up Wednesday.

For Christmas holidays, Dec. 24 and 25, residential sanitation collections for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be delayed two days - Monday picked up on Wednesday, Tuesday on Thursday.

In addition the Wednesday route will be picked up on Friday along with the Thursday route.
