A burglary occurred Feb. 12 or 13 on Chalet North Court, with the burglar(s) stealing a 32-inch, flat-screen Sanyo TV, valued at $3,2000.
A North Augusta teenager is a suspect in a Feb. 11 case of malicious injury to personal property, involving $1,500 in "egging" damage done to a car at a beauty salon on Old Edgefield Road.
A car theft occurred Feb. 10 on US 1, near the on-ramp for the Fifth Street bridge. Stolen was a light gold-colored 1996 Honda Accord four-door, valued at $1,500, with a pink "Country Girl" sticker on the rear window.
A man from North Augusta was arrested and jailed Feb. 11 after a traffic stop at Walnut Lane and St. Julian Place. An officer noticed him changing tires on his truck and found him smelling of alcohol and unsteady on his feet. He failed a sobriety check and was found to have a blood-alcohol of .14 percent.
A man from North Augusta was arrested and jailed on a charge of driving under the influence, after a Feb. 11 incident at Martintown Road and Knox Avenue. An officer responding to a traffic complaint found the driver smelling of alcohol. His blood-alcohol level was measured at .14 percent.
An incident of grand larceny occurred Feb. 8 on River Wind Drive, with $50,001 in items being stolen -- jewelry pieces and "approximately 20 hydrocodone pills." A North Augusta man is a suspect. The loss included a pair of cluster diamond earrings, a pair of hoop diamond earrings, a diamond necklace, a strand of pearls with a diamond and pearl enhancer, a sapphire necklace, two diamond-and-sapphire bracelets.
Two North Augusta teenagers were arrested and jailed after a Feb. 8 traffic stop at Knox Avenue and Lecompte Avenue. Charges included driving under the influence and simple possession of marijuana. Inside the car was a camera with a picture of one of the teens smoking marijuana earlier in the day.
A burglary occurred on Rosemary Lane Feb. 10 or 11. Stolen was an assortment of jewelry and a collectible salt shaker, with a combined value of $7,150.
