Want a 'Love Story' beginning
Students at the University of South Carolina are looking for a couple ready to tie the knot. And have they got a deal for you.
The students will make one couple's dream wedding a reality when they plan every aspect of the couple's wedding, including invitations, flowers, rings and catering. It's all free.
The 12th "Love Story" wedding will be planned by students in professional wedding planner Annette Hoover's Hospitality Retail and Tourism Management class, along with the help of local sponsors and vendors, such as the Inn at USC, which will host the reception and provide the honeymoon suite.
Interested couples should submit an application essay of at least 500 words, along with their photo or a three-minute video. In the essay, couples should include how they met, how long they have been together and why they should be chosen for the "Love Story" wedding.
Submit entries via email to WeddingAtUSC@gmail.com by the deadline Jan. 31.
Eligible couples must be currently engaged and at least one of them must be affiliated with the university (including children of alumni). The wedding date is April 15.
For more information, contact Annette Hoover at aahoove@mailbox.sc.edu.
