Chaplain's corner: Giving blessings

Ministers often give biblical blessings at the close of worship services and in individual settings. Persons in our hectic world need to hear genuine words of blessing given by those who care. I have discovered that expressions of God's grace not only help us to overcome the negativity around us, but they also highlight our awareness of God's complete love for us. Here is my favorite biblical blessing: "The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace"' (Numbers 6:24-26).
