Wrinkles
111Mark Feb. 28 in your calendar right now. One of the most sought after speakers will be holding forth at the METTS group on Tuesday at 11:30, so be there for Gen. Perry Smith who has written six books and flew 180 combat missions during the Vietnam War. Great stories to hear!
Do you believe in angels? I do. It looked like a leak in the dining room ceiling, so I emailed North Augusta Roofing for help. The call was returned promptly and an appointment set up. When I opened the door, to my surprise, the owner and his son-in-law had come to check it out. They searched the attic and outside and found the reason. When I told the owner to send the bill, he graciously shook his head and said they would take care of it! Angels continue to fly around as the phone rings with Annette Crawford asking if I need anything, Sue Lewis calling morning and evening to check on me, Harriet Lynn, Margaret Lemon, Emilie, Arlis Jeter, Beverly Blevins, who took the time to bring a delicious dinner by on her way to a meeting at the church, my neighbors, the Wightmans, rolling that monster trash can to the street every week, going to see Marion. And there's a beautiful white arrangement of flowers brought by Kathy Bradley to brighten his day, plus beautiful notes from E.J. and Shirley Holgate, Mary Jane Wisenbaker, the Whitneys, on and on.
I cried all the way from Greenville to North Augusta years ago during the move from my hometown, just knowing that I would never be as happy here.
But God has His own plans for us, and it was the best move I have ever made.
"God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, nor sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way."
