Crew 7 learns to sail

Some members of Crew 7, chartered by Grace United Methodist Church in the fall of 2006, recently enjoyed a Saturday at the Augusta Sailing Club site on the lake learning to sail in a 14-foot Sunfish. The Crew received classroom instruction from club members in the morning and spent the afternoon on the water, practicing what they had learned. Crew 7 is part of the Venturing program of the Boy Scouts of America and is open to youth ages 14-20. The Crew generally meets at 5 p.m. on the first and third Sunday in the Johnny Ouzts Scout Hut at Grace UMC. New members are accepted at any time.
