'Mr. Psycho Man' at game
Fans of high-energy performance may want to arrive a little early Friday for North Augusta High School's football playoff game to witness the creativity of local resident Ernie Wrenn.
The self-proclaimed "Mr. Psycho Man," a North Augusta resident since 1969, is planning a pre-game exhibition of his Chevrolet S-10 jet truck, which is powered by a Rolls-Royce engine that cranks out 10,000 horsepower and can reach a top speed upward of 250 miles an hour, going through 52 gallons of fuel in a quarter-mile sprint.
Wrenn's racing background goes back to 1966. He described himself as having driven "nearly anything with wings or wheels." Plans are for Friday's pre-game show to run from 7:05 to 7:25 p.m.
